Web Content Strategist's Bible

Content Strategy Mind Map

I started using mind maps to outline and plan for content strategy and creation a few years ago. I'm very logical, but also visual, so mind maps help keep all of my brain engaged in focused thinking for quite a long period of time.

I don't know why it took me so long to land on the idea of a content strategy mind map, but I finally did and here is the result.

I see the practice of content strategy as having five main components:

  • Structure
  • Business
  • Creative
  • Process
  • Technical

The mind map breaks each of them out in detail.

I created a Light Version and Dark Version for a little variety. You can download the full-size images for free below, or buy a poster-size print on Zazzle.com.

Getting a Printed Version of the Content Strategy Mind Map

I took the images to Kinkos for printing and they charged about $25.00 for a decent size print.

If you would like to avoid the hassle of going to Kinkos and waiting, you can purchase a poster-size print online.

Go to Zazzle.com to purchase a Content Strategy Mind Map poster for $19.95.

(I recommend the 23" x 30" size)
